I know, I know--we turned down the doped up tigers, but went ahead and sent the kids on a tour to see elephants doing decidedly unelephantlike activities. We're not consistent.
When I went to the tiger sanctuary there an American from some university gave the opening intro and it seemed like they were providing some service in protecting tigers but...I also saw a tiger rear up and wrap it's arms around a German woman sitting for her photo. She was there alone and I held onto her while she just shook after she came out of the compound. She had a dusty paw print over her breast and red marks on her neck. The little monk somehow pulled the tiger back to lieing down. It happened so fast I couldn't figure out how on earth she wasn't hurt. Didn't think of the possibility that they were drugged but it makes sense. If you looked at the back of your ticket you would have read a legal liability release you granted them just by purchasing the ticket.
